Chiếc xe tải chở container từ bến cảng Zeebrugge phía Bắc nước Bỉ qua phà tới thị trấn Purfleet, hạt Essex, miền Nam nước Anh.

Trước khi lên phà thì xe tải phải bị soi chiếu kỹ càng. Mỗi ngày có 4.000 container được vận chuyển từ Bỉ sang Anh như thế này. Để phát hiện người trốn trong các thùng hàng, giới chức cảng Zeebrugge có máy phát hiện khí CO2 và máy quét phát hiện thân nhiệt.
